The Brief
How do you showcase a thriving city precinct to people who’ve never set foot there? We built a web-based 3D map that renders Sydney’s laneways in vibrant colours, detailing the various venues that make up the YCK group.
The Solution
We partnered with city planners to reimagine York, Clarence, and Kent Streets as a responsive, interactive 3D web experience. Performance was key in our development as we wanted the experience to run on old devices; a low poly-count was essential.
Users can zoom, pan, and tap through a bird’s-eye view of the district to discover hidden gems. Participating venues featured QR codes that turned the digital map into a real-world scavenger hunt ("Collect to Win"), driving actual foot traffic to local businesses.
